October News

James had a very busy October as he continues to grow. The month started out with a trip to the doctor for a flu shot, his very first, and he did very well managing the trauma. As the month progressed, he has cut 2 new teeth, bringing the total to 9. The new teeth are molars and are almost completely grown in now. It has taken almost all month and it was very painful at times. James is seeing a dermatologist to help identify and take care of the bumps on his face, arms and legs. The Partners in Dermatology are nice folks and have treated him well.

In other news, James' fine motor skills have improved and he is now building blocks with lego Mega Blocks. He is also using toy cars as they are supposed to be used. He likes the ones that make noise as he is pushing them. He is now running and managing the outdoors well. He loves the dog and cats and is starting to show them some respect in terms of how he treats them.

Finally, he has begun to feed himself with utensils. This skill will require further development, but he will get there. It is a bit of a challenge for his Mom and me in terms of the flying food, but it is all good.

James has really started to accept the day care and going to Grandma and Grandpa's house. He goes to them and waves bye-bye to us when we drop him off. He maintains his brilliant smile and fun loving demeanor. He is truly a gift for this world (and Mommy and Daddy also)!
