Well...2008 is almost history and what a year it has been. Of course the highlight of the year for Michelle and I was getting James home at last. James is doing very well and has just participated in his very first Christmas with his new family. He received some very nice presents and of course some well deserved love as well.
James has been reaching new goals in terms of learning. He has learned to recognize his favorite things such as farm animals, heavy equipment and our household pets to name a few. He is running everywhere (walking was a short window). He is learning to say words and speaks in his own language consistently. He is developing an excellent sense of humor and truly loves his Mommy and Daddy and extended family.
Among our favorite toys are books (particularly the picture variety) and cars. He has a well rounded variety of cars and books. James like the toys that sing or play a song. He seems to love music of all forms.
James has friends at his daycare center and likes to see them. He plays well with others and is well behaved. He can throw a good fit here and there, but these are the exceptions to the norm. December has brought several new teeth. James went on his first Christmas tree hunt, decorated the tree and has begun to eat table foods on a regular basis.
He has grown over the past month and is now retiring some clothes and slippers. He can go up and down the stairs (with supervision of course) and can open / close cupboards doors and drawers. James is a very smart young man, he can learn new things at a rapid rate. He is just now able to reach the door knobs (still a little to short to open them) and can push furniture all over the house.
Michelle and I are more blessed than I had ever imagined. James has brought a new form of Team work to our relationship and has touched the lives of all of our family members. He is a blessing from GOD and I thank him everyday for bringing James into our lives.
I hope that everyone has had a safe and happy Christmas this year. The economic conditions can not dictate the family bond. Bless each and every one this Holiday Season!
