The Summer of Firsts!

It has been a long while since I have updated James blog and I am sorry for that. This has been an extremely busy summer. Everything is a first for James from his birthday to the Webster Volunteer Fireman's Association Annual Parade. There has been a lot of activity this past month and I will post a little about it all, and of course will place pictures for a good view.

My first Father's Day was perfect! We spent the weekend at the marina on our boat and out on the water the day of Father's Day. The weather was nice, James was a happy boy, and Mommy took nice care of me. We had a nice dinner in the town of Sodus at Captain Jack's restaurant in the eve and then settled for a nice quiet evening on the boat. It was a fun day for me and hopefully James and Mommy had a good day as well!

James first camping trip was in Uncle Tim's brand new 40' Toy Hauler. The trip was in Lewiston, NY in the Buffalo area. The weather was nice and hot, the pool was cool and the camper was all set for a nice weekend. We also had the pleasure of some great company, The Galantes, The Kujawas, and of course Mr. Rick Losz and his friend Mellisa were up from Florida. I apparently missed the best party of the weekend as when James and I arrived on Friday everyone was looking tired and they had some very funny stories of the night before.
On Saturday we visited Niagara Falls on the American side. It was a nice warm day and there were many tourists there as well. The Maid of the Mist was in full swing. We had a nice lunch and walked through the park and watched the river run. James was busy people watching and fussing with his hat. The camping trip was fun and it was nice to spend time with our friends and family.

4th of July Weekend - This was an outstanding weekend that began on Thursday eve with the town of Sodus fireworks display. James was intrigued by the fireworks, but was also a bit tired as it was 10pm. We were not sure if it would upset him or not and we found that he was interested in the fireworks enough to point and stare at them. Needless to say, he fell asleep in his stroller on the walk back to the Marina. He fell fast asleep once in is room on the boat. The rest of the weekend was nice and warm weather and plenty of fun.

The Annual Webster Fireman Parade and Carnival was the next event of the summer. Thursday evening is always the parade and fire trucks, marching bands, local business and even political officials march in the parade that ends at the carnival grounds. James loved the drum corps and fire trucks. He was a bit to small for the rides and games, but next year he should be able to do a couple. Mommy and Daddy had fun introducing James to many of their high school friends and family. It was a great event as always. On Saturday night, James had his very first overnight stay with Grandma and Grandpa. He was a good boy for Grandma and Grandpa and Great Grandma - they all loved having him for the night. Mommy and Daddy stayed overnight with Uncle Tim and Aunt Amy.

Pictures are posted for most of these events. I forgot the camera for the firemans parade - will catch a few shots next year.
